Eviota sigillata Jewett & Lachner 1983 —Adorned dwarfgoby

Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a specimen observed in Nusa Channel, Kavieng District, 1–19 m depth, St. T 2, on 30 Oct. 2006, by Gerald R. Allen.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Madagascar and Seychelles east to Caroline Islands and Wallis & Futuna (but apparently excluding Fiji and Tonga), south to Western Australia and Queensland (Australia). Found in sheltered reefs, 3–20 m depth. Marine.
