Madygembia ARISTOV & STOROZHENKO 2021, gen. nov.

Description

Genus Madygembia Aristov & Storozhenko, gen. nov.

Type species. Madygembia rasnitsyni sp. nov., here designated.

Etymology. The new genus is named after the Madygen locality and genus Embia. Gender feminine.

Diagnosis. Forewings characters only. Sc reaching distal quarter of wing. RS arising near proximal third of wing and forming a long fusion (anastomosis) with MA. MP simple, desclerotized near middle. CuA with four branches directed to posterior margin of wing. Cross-veins numerous, simple. Wing membrane with wide hyaline intervenal lines.

Remarks. New genus is most similar to Nestorembia but differs from latter in characters given above in the key.
