Pheretima (Amynthas) hobaensis (sic!) — Thai 1983: 125; Thai 2000a: 309. Metaphire hobaensis (sic!) — Sims & Easton, 1972: 238, 243; Easton 1979: 101. Metaphire honbaensis— Blakemore 2007a: 48; Blakemore 2008b.

Type locality. Vietnam (Nha Trang: Hon Ba Mts).

Type material. MNHN, France.

Records from Vietnam. Khanh Hoa (Hon Ba Mts) (Michaelsen 1934b).

Distribution. Only known from Vietnam.

Vietnamese name. Giun hòn bà.

Remarks. The name was proposed to replace Pheretima helvola Michaelsen, 1934. There are no other records since its original description.
