Metaphire conhanungensis (Thai, 1984)

Pheretima conhanungensis Thai, 1984c: 1319, fig. 2B; Nakamura 1999: 49. Pheretima (Amynthas) conhanungensis— Thai 1983: 125.

Pheretima conghanungensis (sic!) — Thai 2000a: 308; Huynh 2005a: 122. Metaphire ? conhanungensis— Blakemore 2007a: 23; Blakemore 2008b.

Type locality. Vietnam (Gia Lai: Buon Luoi).

Type material. ZMUM (W.239), Russia.

Examined material. 1 C (SORC-V.025.01) deciduous forests, Ealop, Dak Lak, 10/1989; 1 C (SORC- V.025.02) primary forest, Buon Luoi, Gia Lai, coll. Huynh Thi Kim Hoi.

Records from Vietnam. Gia Lai (Buon Luoi); Dak Lak (Ea Lop) (Thai 1984c; Huynh 2005a).

Distribution. Only known from Vietnam.

Vietnamese name. Giun công hà nừng.

Remarks. Blakemore (2007a, 2008b) considered it as " species inquirenda ". Material was re-examined and presence of male copulatory pouches and hence placement of the species in Metaphire is confirmed here.
