Phytoseius (Dubininellus) Wainstein, 1959: 1361. Type species: Phytoseius (Dubininellus) corniger Wainstein, 1959.

Type species: Gamasus plumifer Canestrini & Fanzago, 1876

Diagnosis. Species are diagnosed by the retention of both setae z3 and s6 on the adult podonotal region. Genu III with six setae, pre-anal setae inserted on lateral margin of female ventri-anal shield in vertical row, seta JV2 always present and seta JV3 always absent; leg IV always longer than dorsal shield; dorsal setae s4, r3, Z4 and Z5 thickened and strongly serrated (Chant & McMurtry, 1994).
