D i s t r i b u t i o n: Adi Ugri, Ailet, Ghinda.
Xylocopa modesta SMITH, 1854 is widely distributed in the Afrotropical Region and is also recorded from Sudan. The record from Eritrea is not mentiond in FRIESE (1909b: 245), EARDLEY (1987: 9) and EARDLEY & URBAN (2010: 357).
