Scatella caviceps: Loew 1860: 42 [generic combination].

Dawah (CERS); 1 ♂, same but 3–24. vii. 2013; 1 ♂, same data but 12. xi. 2013 (CERS); 1 ♀, Najran, Al-Shurfa, Saleh Maqbol Farm, 13. iii. 2013, Malaise trap, H.A. Dawah (CERS); 1 ♂, Asir, Karatha, Al-Ethrebany Fruit Farm, 7–28. viii. 2013, Malaise trap, H.A. Dawah (CERS); 1 ♂, Asir, Abha, Madenate Al-Ameer Sultan, 25. ii.–25. v. 2002, Malaise trap. H.A. Dawah (CERS).

Distribution. This is the first record from Saudi Arabia. This species was described from Sweden and further recorded from the Palaearctic Region: Afghanistan, Europe, Madeira, Morocco, and Russia (Far East).
