Dromaeolus salsus Bonvouloir, 1871

(Fig. 14)

This very rarely seen eucnemid species was previously known from Louisiana and Texas (Muona 2000). New state records now include Florida and Ohio. Specimens were taken from a 6 meter Malaise trap and from a combination of UV/ MV light trap. FLORIDA: Alachua County: SE Gainesville, Kincaid Rd., old field edge/xeric oak hammock, 6m Malaise, 24 April–1 May 1999, 1–8 May 1999, 8–15 May 1999, 16 May–5 June 1999, B.D. Sutton (FSCA, GERP); OHIO: Vinton County: Lake Hope State Park, near Keeton Cemetery, 15 July 2008, R. Androw (CMNH).
