Type status. Attems (1911a) did not state the number of specimens in his description and all specimens are syntypes. Additional notes on file card: “ 2 syntypes Crabill rev. 1961, Dr. Edgecombe rev. 2002.”

Collection remarks. All specimens were collected by Wilhelm Michaelsen during his expedition to Western Australia 1905.

Current systematic position. Junior synonym of Henicops dentatus (Pocock, 1901) according to Hollington & Edgecombe (2004: 6).
