Norellia roserii Rondani, 1866

ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1866b: 16 (key), 17 (description) [1867b: 100 (key), 101 (description)].

TYPE LOCALITY: “ germanicum [Germany]”.

TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, holotype (MZUF: Box 27): Norellia Desv. / roserii Rond., German. /1420.

CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Norellia armipes (Meigen, 1826) (Gorodkov 1986: 12); junior synonym of Norellisoma spinimanum (Fallen, 1819) (Šifner 2003: 29).

REMARKS: Rondani (1866b: 17) described Norellia roserii from a single male: “ Specimen germanicum possideo a Cl. De Roser missum [I have a specimen from Germany, sent by Mr. von Roser]”, publishing the species first in a separate (1866b) and then in the journal version (1867b).
