TYPE LOCALITY: Jamaica

TYPE DEPOSITORY: NHM

REMARKS: Misspelled as Photinus xanthophotus [sic] in Seliger et al. (1964b). Seliger et al. (1964ab) cite P. xanthophotis for St. Andrew. No subspecies is given therefore I assigned the locality to the nominate subspecies.
