MATLAB scripts for "Nonsmooth Modal Analysis via Boundary Element Method for one dimensional bar systems"

Description

This project is an implementation of BEM/HBM, a numerical method performing nonsmooth modal analysis for 1D systems. Details of this numerical method can be found in paper "Modal Analysis with Boundary Element method for one dimensional bar subjects to unilateral and bilateral contact" by Tianzheng Lu and Mathias Legrand. The method is implemented in MATLAB, by Tianzheng Lu.

This implementation includes three versions, corresponding to three different pairs of boundary conditions: Dirichlet-Signorini, Robin-Signorini, and two Dirichlet-Signorini. To run the code, run "main.m" in each folder.
