Description
Halacarellus fontinalis Bartsch & Gerecke, 2011
Record from more than 900 m a.s.l. altitudes: Austria — Gesäuse National Park, Pfarreralm, 1308 m a.s.l. (Bartsch and Gerecke 2011).
Remarks: This species was recorded only from its type locality. Bartsch and Gerecke (2011) opined that Halacarellus fontinalis and H. hyrcanus most likely got adapted to freshwater in late tertiary, within past 15 million years.
