72. Amblyomma macfarlandi Keirans, Hoogstraal and Clifford, 1973.
A Neotropical species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Testudines: Testudinidae. There are no bona fide records of Amblyomma macfarlandi feeding on humans.
