Type deposition. BMNH 1932.7.18.11.

Type data. Ex Leopoldamys sabanus (syn. Rattus sabanus vociferans), Malaysia, Selangor State, Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.

Hosts. RODENTIA: Berylmys bowersi, Hadromys humei, Leopoldamys edwardsi, L. sabanus; SCANDENTIA: Tupaia belangeri belangeri; CARNIVORA: Prionodon linsang.

Distribution. India, Malaysia.

Remarks. According to Fernandes & Kulkarni (2003), this species was recorded in India due to a misidentification of Walchiella lewthwaitei (Womersley, 1952).
