Description
Cassytha filiformis Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 35. 1753.

Lectotype (Imkhanitskaya in Novosti Sist. Vyssh. Rast. 11: 208. 1974): Osbeck s.n., Herb. Linn. No. 519.1 (LINN).
Generitype of Cassytha Linnaeus.
Current name: Cassytha filiformis L. (Lauraceae).
Note: Weber (in J. Adelaide Bot. Gard. 3: 229. 1981) designated Acatsja-valli Rheede, Hort. Malab. 7: 83, t. 44 (1688) as type but this choice is pre-dated by that of Imkhanitskaya.
