Description

Carduus leucographus Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 820. 1753.

"Habitat in Campania." RCN: 5944.

Neotype (Turland in Jarvis & Turland in Taxon 47: 356. 1998): Italy. Potenza: Basilicate, Lago Negro, 21 Jun 1891, St-Lager s.n. (BM-000576307).

Current name: Tyrimnus leucographus (L.) Cass. (Asteraceae).
