Note: Agerer-Kirchhoff (in Boissiera 25: 84. 1976) indicated a Tournefort collection (sheet 3636, P) as lectotype but this choice is ineligible as it is not original material for the name. Burtt (in Karaca Arbor. Mag. 6: 142. 2002) discusses Tournefort’s account of this plant.
