Description
Agrostis arundinacea Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 61. 1753.
"Habitat in Europae monticulis sylvosis glareosis juniperitis." RCN: 533.
Lectotype (Veldkamp in Cafferty & al. in Taxon 49: 243. 2000): Amman 26, Herb. Linn. No. 84.7 (LINN).
Current name: Deyeuxia pyramidalis (Host) Veldkamp (Poaceae).
Note: The epithet “arundinacea” is pre-occupied in Deyeuxia by D. arundinacea P. Beauv., and D. pyramidalis (Host) Veldkamp is therefore the correct name in that genus. In Calamagrostis, however, it remains C. arundinacea (L.) Roth.
