Description

Lolium annuum Linnaeus, Flora Anglica: 11. 1754.

"Habitat [in Anglia.]"

Lectotype (Turland in Cafferty & al. in Taxon 49: 252. 2000): [icon] "Lollium album " in Gerard, Herball: 71. 1597 (see p. 132).

Current name: Lolium temulentum L. (Poaceae).

Note: In the later Amoen. Acad. edition of Flora Anglica, Linnaeus (1759: 97) transferred this name to the synonymy of L. temulentum L. (1753).
