Lectotype (Langen & al. in Taxon 33: 719. 1984): [icon] " Caryophyllus spicam frumenti referens " in Volckamer in Acad. Caes.-Leop. Carol. Nat. Cur. Ephem. 4: 368, t. 9. 1715.
Current name: Dianthus caryophyllus L. (Caryophyllaceae).
