Description
Sagittaria pugioniformis Linnaeus, Plantae Surinamenses: 15. 1775.
"Habitat [in Surinamo.]" RCN: 7204.
Lectotype (Haynes & Holm-Nielsen, Fl. Neotropica 64: 90. 1994): Herb. Linn. No. 1124.7 (LINN).
Current name: Sagittaria lancifolia L. (Alismataceae).
Note: Although Bogin (in Mem. New York Bot. Gard. 9: 191. 1955) referred to "the Linnaean type specimen", he did not indicate what he believed it to be.
