Description

Polypodium dryopteris Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 1093. 1753.

"Habitat in Europae nemoribus." RCN: 7918.

Lectotype (McNeill & Pryer in Taxon 34: 142, f. 1. 1985): Herb. Burser XX: 32 (UPS).

Current name: Gymnocarpium dryopteris (L.) Newman (Polypodiaceae).

Note: Although Bobrov (in Novosti Sist. Vyssh. Rast. 21: 12. 1984) indicated unspecified material in UPS as type, this is insufficiently precise to be accepted as a typification.
