Description

Empetrum nigrum Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 1022. 1753.

"Habitat in Europae frigidissimae montosis paludosis." RCN: 7389.

Lectotype (Good in J. Linn. Soc., Bot. 47: 512. 1927): Herb. Linn. No. 1160.2 (LINN).

Generitype of Empetrum Linnaeus (vide Green, Prop. Brit. Bot.: 191. 1929).

Current name: Empetrum nigrum L. (Empetraceae).
