Description

Rhus typhina Linnaeus, Centuria II Plantarum: 14. 1756.

"Habitat in Virginia." RCN: 2113.

Lectotype (Reveal in Taxon 40: 489. 1991): Herb. Linn. No. 378.2 (LINN).

Current name: Rhus typhina L. (Anacardiaceae).

Note: Specific epithet spelled “typhinum” in the protologue.
