Description

Medicago falcata Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 779. 1753.

"Habitat in Europae pratis apricis, siccis." RCN: 5717.

Lectotype (Ali in Taxon 17: 541. 1968): Herb. Linn. No. 933.8 (LINN).

Current name: Medicago falcata L. (Fabaceae: Faboideae).

Note: Although Heyn (in Bull. Res. Council Israel, Sect. D, Bot. 7: 162. 1959) discussed some of the original material, she did not designate a lectotype.
