Description
Genus Martvilia gen. nov.

DiagnosisDiffers from all other members of the tribe Leucogeorgiini by having an almost completely free mesomere separated by a deep incision from the mesomeral lamella. These two structures are connected only in the basal third in mesal view. Like some members of the genus Leucogeorgia, this genus is characterized by modified mouthparts.
EtymologyThis new genus is named after the type locality of its type species, Martvili village. The name is a feminine noun.
Type speciesMartvilia parva gen. et sp. nov., by present designation and monotypy.
