Sources of information with forensic significance in the process of prevention and combating corruption offenses

Prevention and combating corruption offenses is one of the actual priorities of the political, social, and economic reforms in the Republic of Moldova, necessary for the consolidation of the rule of law. For tracking and multilateral researching of the corruption cases, specialized anti-corruption subdivisions must utilize diverse and reliable sources of information, to ensure the imposition of criminal liability on the guilty persons and the restoration of the prejudice caused by the infraction. In the present article are analyzed sources of information with forensic significance, used in the prevention and combating of corruption offenses, that is a key element in the discovery and investigation of illegal acts, identification of infractors, the establishment of the circumstances in which the infraction occurred. Likewise, in this publication, it is examined the sources of information used in the practical activity of specialized anti-corruption bodies in the Republic of Moldova, these being classified in the open-source information, official information, information from the national registers and operative information.
