Description

Eucosma leucaspis Meyrick, 1902; Fauna Geogr. Maldive Laccadive Arch. 1: 126.
TL: Maldives, Minikoi Island [now in Lakshadweep].
Distribution: India (Uttarakhand); Bali; Indonesia (Java); Lakshadweep Islands; Malaysia; Myanmar; Republic of Maldives; Seychelles; Sri Lanka; Thailand (Robinson et al. 1994; Pinkaew 2007).
Hosts: Larvae are reported to feed on Malva sylvestris (Malvaceae) and Allophylus cobbe, Dimocarpus longan, Litchi chinensis, Nephelium lappaceum, Schleichera oleosa (Sapindaceae) (Fletcher 1932; Robinson et al. 2001).
