Genus Newtoniopsis Salgado

Newtoniopsis Salgado, 2005b: 199 [declared as masculine gender (sic)]. Type species: Nemadiopsis malleatus [sic] Szymczakowski (orig. des.).

Note: As “Genus 8 Newton, undescribed”, in Peck et al., 1998a: 59.

Key: to species in Salgado, 2011a: 256.

Distribution: Southern Chile, southwestern Argentina.

Biology: Carrion scavenger in forests near treeline.
