Coelosis Hope 1837: 88.
Distribution: Mexico to Argentina. Colombia: Antioquia, Risaralda, Santander, Tolima, Valle.
Diversity: 7 species. Colombia: 2 species; C. bicornis (Leske), C. biloba (Linnaeus) (Endrődi 1985; Restrepo et al. 2003).
