Prionyx viduatus (Christ, 1791)
Distribution in the Arabian Peninsula: Oman (Guichard 1980, 1988; Roche 2007 as Prionyx viduatus viduatus; Dollfuss 2008), Qatar (Guichard 1988), Saudi Arabia (Bohart & Menke 1976; Guichard 1988; Gadallah & Assery 2004a; Roche 2007 as P. viduatus viduatus; Gadallah et al. 2013), United Arab Emirates (Roche 1981; Hamer 1986, 1988; Guichard 1988; Gillett & Gillett 2005; Dollfuss 2008; Howarth & Gillett 2008; Schmid- Egger 2011, 2014), Yemen (Kirby 1900 as Sphex granti W.F. Kirby, 1900; Bohart & Menke 1976; Roche 2007 as P. viduatus viduatus).
Extralimital distribution: Afghanistan, Africa, Canary Islands, Cyprus, Greece, India, Iraq, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malta, Portugal, Russia, Senegal, Somalia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Syria, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.
