Emotional intelligence is defned as the ability to identify and manage one’s own as well as other people’s emotions in order to express them in an appropriate and effcient manner. It is essential to acknowledge one’s feelings as soon as they emerge. It is important to be aware of both the mood we are in and the thoughts we have concerning this mood. We may improve our emotional intelligence through self-assessment, self-improvement and by applying changes to our behavior. The planning and the conscious implementation of the desired change may be achieved based on an effcient personal development plan. The development of one’s emotional intelligence is a long road involving much effort and many challenges.
