Polypheretima spiridonovi (Thai, 1996)

Type locality. Vietnam (Khanh Hoa: Duc Mu pass).

Type material. SORC (HV.226), Vietnam.

Examined material. 1 C (SORC-HV.226) Khanh Hoa Prov., Duc Mu pass, 9 January 1989, coll. Spiridonov S.E.

Records from Vietnam. Khanh Hoa (Duc Mu pass) (Thai 1996).

Distribution. Only known from Vietnam.

Vietnamese name. Trùn Spiridonov.

Remarks. The species is fairly similar to Polypheretima polytheca (Beddard, 19 00) but differs in having spermathecal pores in 4/5–6/7, testes sacs in ventral position, absence of a copulatory pouch, and absence of genital markings (Thai 1996).
