Marta Mata Garriga: A good teacher

Description

The pedagogical and political legacy of Marta Mata Garriga (1926-2006) is a revulsion for educational commitment. First, for his contribution to the historical memory of the teaching profession in Catalonia and in the rest of Spain and for his doing public school from the defense of the community. But above all because of its firm and inalienable commitment to teacher education as a vital, critical, cooperative and transformative agent. Mata's pedagogy is dialectic and experience, encompasses the cultural, political and educational dimensions and builds paths of possibility inspired by the utopia of the active, critical and democratic school.
