Introduction and use of birches of the Caucasus native flora in Ukraine

A comparative characteristic of definitive indicators of the Caucasus and Ukraine climate for possible introduction of birches from the Caucasus to Ukraine, places of their plantation in Ukraine are presented. Phenology of development of Litvinov and Radde birches and their taxation characteristic in condition of the Kyiv region is given. Conclusions have been drawn about expediency of other birch species introduction from the Caucasus to Ukraine.
