Introduction as a factor of plant resources enrichment and increase of species diversity of cultural phytocenoses

  • 1. M.M. Grishko National Botanical Gardens, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Ukraine, Kyiv

Description

The role of plant introduction as the most important factor of plant resources enrichment and of the rise of species diversity in cultural phytocenoses are observed. The data of introduction and selection of forage plants in the M.M. Grishko National Botanical Gardens are cited. The importance of ecologically plastic and high-productive introduced plants in the increase of their hardiness and cultural phytocenosis productivity are shown. We have determined perspective directions of cultivation and use of 26 introduced species in one-species and mixed agrophytocenoses with many components. Theoretical substantiation of agrophytocenoses construction by introduction of new species and by their combination with traditional cultures is presented.
