Using RISE for Service Evaluation - Experiences, Findings and Differences
Description
In 2018, the Research Data Management Services of Leibniz University Hannover, Germany, conducted a self-assessment using the “Research Infrastructure Self Evaluation Framework” (RISE) published by the British Digital Curation Centre. The main objective of the self-assessment was to gauge current achievements and to determine the fields in which further development is required in order to update road map documents. Another aim was to test the applicability of “RISE” in a German context.
The Lightning Talk "Using RISE for Service Evaluation - Experiences, Findings and Differences" reflects the experiences and results of the self-assessment at Leibniz University Hannover. Furthermore, it proposes an "Embedded Research Data Management Service Model" to integrate the organisational embedding of Research Data Managament Services in the RISE-Framework.
The Lightning Talk carries important insights for the development of Research Data Management Services, which is an issue that becomes more and more important in higher education institutions (HEIs) all over the world.
