Gleitende Übergänge – Klees Räume in der "Liquid Modernity"

Description

Paul Klee's work not only belongs in the history of painting, but is also specifically linked to developments in the natural sciences and humanities of the 20th century. Further Klee was of interest for artists from other disciplines. The process of interaction already begins at the Bauhaus. In addition to a multitude of direct communications, there are also parallel search movements; Klee and the various other actors, for example from the fields of Gestalt psychology or architecture are connected through their work on the problem of determining the variable relationship between fluidity and stabilization that is fundamental to modernism. The reception history of Klee since the mid-20th century has also been characterized by the peculiarity that to this day protagonists of philosophy, music or architecture refer to him with ever new questions, to a work also that seems open and connectable in a singular way.
