İlkokul 1. Sınıfta Aile Katılımı: Sınıf Öğretmenlerinin Görüşleri

Bu araştırmada öğretim süreçlerine aile katılımının ilkokul 1. sınıf öğrencilerinin akademik başarıları üzerine etkisi, sınıf öğretmenlerinin görüşleri açısından incelenmiştir. Araştırma, 2019-2020 öğretim yılında İstanbul ilindeki devlet okullarında görev yapmakta olan, en az 5 yıl öğretmenlik deneyimine sahip 10 sınıf öğretmeni ile nitel araştırma desenlerinden olgu bilim deseni kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler yoluyla toplanan veriler içerik analizi yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular değerlendirildiğinde, sınıf öğretmenlerinin ilk okuma yazma kazanımlarına ulaşabilmek için diğer ders saatlerini de bu amaçla kullandıkları, bu durumun öğrencilerin genel akademik başarıları üzerinde olumsuz bir etkisi olduğu, bu noktada öğretim süreçlerine veli katılımının önemli olduğu ve akademik başarıyı artırıcı etkiye sahip olduğu, bunun için aile eğitim çalışmaları ile ailelerin desteklenmesi gerektiği sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.

Abstract (English)

In this research, the effect of family involvement on the academic success of first grade primary school students in the teaching process was examined in terms of the opinions of the primary school teachers. The research was carried out using qualitative research designs with the primary school teachers who have at least 5 years of teaching experience in the state schools in İstanbul province in 2019-2020 academic year. Data collected through semi-structured interviews were analyzed through content analysis. When the findings were evaluated, it was found that the primary school teachers used other lesson hours for this purpose, in order to reach the first literacy gains, that this situation had a negative effect on the general academic success of the students, that the parental involvement in the teaching process was important and has academic success enhancing effect, therefore families must be supported with family education studies.
