Type material. Holotype (herein examined): USNM 108047.

Type locality. USA: Georgia state Off Georgia, USFC sta. 2668; 30°58′30″N, 79°38′30″W, 538 m; Steamer Albatross col, 05/v/1886. Not “off Fernandina” as stated in the original description (vide station number of the original label).

Material examined. The holotype.
