Distribution: India: NE India, Darjeeling, Sikkim (Watson, 1967). Elsewhere: Bhutan, N. Burma (Watson, 1967); Nepal (Wilkinson, 1972).

Remark: Apart from below mentioned subspecies, two other subspecies are: O. vatama acutula Watson, 1967 (China, Tibet) and O. vatama tsina Watson, 1967 (China).
