A presente resenha visa fazer uma análise crítica do livro "Experts and the Will of the People: society, populism and science", de Harry Collins, Robert Evans e Weinel Durrin, publicado em 2020. Através dessa análise, busca-se demonstrar como a ciência, mesmo depois da quebra de muitos de seus paradigmas de neutralidade, ainda pode ser uma importante ferramenta para a manutenção de uma democracia pluralista frente a ameaças populistas.
Abstract (English)
The following review aims to provide a critical analysis of the book "Experts and the Will of the People: Society, Populism, and Science" authored by Harry Collins, Robert Evans, and Weinel Durrin, published in 2020. Through this examination, the intention is to illustrate how science, despite the erosion of many of its neutrality paradigms, remains a vital instrument for sustaining pluralistic democracy in the face of populist threats.

La presente reseña tiene como objetivo realizar un análisis crítico del libro "Experts and the Will of the People: sociedad, populismo y ciencia", escrito por Harry Collins, Robert Evans y Weinel Durrin, publicado en 2020. A través de este análisis, se busca demostrar cómo la ciencia, a pesar de la ruptura de muchos de sus paradigmas de neutralidad, sigue siendo una herramienta importante para el mantenimiento de una democracia pluralista frente a las amenazas populistas.
