The clinical implications of Hypoxia Inducible Factor -A Nobel approach

     The Nobel prize winning discovery of Hypoxia Inducible factors, has paved the way for understanding the pathophysiology of Hypoxia, Anemia in Chronic Kidney Disease, Polycythemia vera, Systemic hypertension in Obstructive sleep apnea, Carcinogenesis and much more. The discovery also helped in the development of HIF stabilisers and Inhibitors promises a bright future in the treatment of the many  diseases ,especially cancer,heart failure,anemia and in wound healing . The effect of hypoxia in the covid survivors are yet to be decoded.
