The Danish telescopes on La Silla

Description

Denmark became the 6th member of ESO in 1967. Already in 1969, the Danish 50 cm saw 1st light on La Silla, with the Danish 1.54m to follow a decade later. The history of these telescopes and their instrumentation will be described. We will conclude with a discussion on future plans for the D1.54m.
