본 연구의 목적은 유방암 생존자의 노래심리치료 경험을 통하여 그 의미와 본질이 무엇인지 이해하고자 하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 노래심리치료에 참여한 2명의 50대 유방암 생존자를 대상으로 Giorgi의 현상학적 연구 방법을 활용하여 심층 면담 및 자료 분석을 진행하였다. 그 결과 85개의 의미 단위, 23개의 범주, 8개의 상위범주가 도출되었다. 유방암 생존자의 유방암 생존에 관한 경험은 암에 대한 절망과 대처, 유방암 발병으로 인한 신체·정서적 경험, 병 이전 삶에 대한 성찰, 치료과정에서 경험한 자신에 대한 통찰과 대처로 4개의 상위범주가 확인되었다. 노래심리치료에 관한 경험으로는 과거 노래가 주는 위로의 경험, 노래심리치료 참여의 경험, 선호 노래 경험, 노래심리치료를 통한 성장의 경험으로 4개의 상위범주가 확인되었다. 본 연구는 유방암 생존자의 노래심리치료 경험을 심층적으로 탐색하고 이해하여 심리·정서적 도움을 주는 대안의 기초를 마련하기 위한 현상학적 연구를 수행했다는 점에서 의미가 있다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 논의와 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the song psychotherapy experience of breast cancer survivors and to help their psychological and emotional stability. To this end, in-depth interviews and data analysis were conducted using Giorgi's phenomenological study method for two survivors of breast cancer in their 50s who participated in song psychotherapy. The result was 85 semantic units, 23 categories, and 8 upper categories was derived. Breast cancer survivors' experience of breast cancer survival was identified by four high-level categories: despair and coping with cancer, physical and emotional experiences of breast cancer, reflection on life before illness, and insights and coping with themselves during the treatment process. The experiences of song psychotherapy were identified as the top four categories by the comfort experiences of past songs, the experience of participating in song psychotherapy, the experience of preference songs, and the growth through song psychotherapy. This study is meaningful in that it carried out a qualitative study to lay the foundation for an alternative that provides psychological and emotional help by deeply exploring and understanding the psychological treatment experience of breast cancer survivors. Based on the results of this study, the suggestions for discussion and subsequent research were presented.
