Abstract: Exclusive breastfeeding is commonly given to newborns up to the age of 6 months without food or drink consumption, and correlates to a decreased risk of morbidity and mortality in infants. The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Surabaya was 64.99% with the lowest coverage of which was Putat Jaya community health center (37.76%). This study aims to determine the relationship amongst PNC visits, educational level, and level of knowledge in exclusive breastfeeding housewives in Putat Jaya Health Center, Surabaya. The study uses a cross sectional sample of 60 housewives who do not work and have a baby ranging from 7 to 12 months. The samples were taken using probability and systematic random sampling method. Data was analyzed using Chi-Square (CI= 95%, α=0.0 5).  Based on the statistical test results, it can be seen that factors associated with exclusive breastfeeding is the knowledge (p = 0.04) and Post Natal Care (p = 0.03), whereas factor related to educational level has no correl ation with exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0.985). Accordingly, it is suggested for the health officer at Putat Jaya community health center to improve the PNC visits and do health promotions for giving a better knowledge in exclusive breastfeeding for mothers.
