NCAR/EOL ISS Surface Meteorology Data

Project:

Summary

This dataset contains final surface meteorology data collected by the NCAR/EOL Integrated Sounding System (ISS) located at the Dugway Proving Ground in Utah during the Instabilities, Dynamics, and Energetics accompanying Atmospheric Layering (IDEAL) field campaign. These data are available in daily netCDF files and have been minimally quality-controlled. We found these data to be complete and have no major issues in quality. We did note that occasionally the wind directions on the Lufft's seem to be reversed. This occurs infrequently and primarily in the 2-m winds data.
