VORTEX-SE_2017: ULM Mobile Radiosonde Data

Summary

This data set contains temperature, moisture, and wind profiles from the iMet radiosondes utilized in two mobile radiosonde systems operated by the University of Louisiana Monroe as part of the Verification of the Origins of Rotation in Tornadoes Experiment-Southeast (VORTEX-SE) 2017 field season. These data are available in either the original comma-delimited ASCII format provided by ULM or the EOL Sounding Composite format.

  • 1.1 (2018-04-27):

    This version has all wind speed data in m/s as specified in the documentation file (version 1.0 used a mix of m/s and knots). All other data are unchanged.

  • 1.2 (2018-05-07):

    The only change to this version is the addition of the EOL Sounding Composite (ESC) format of the data.  The original data from ULM in V1.1 remain unchanged.  You may order whichever format you prefer.
