Fracture-dislocation of the ankle with the fibula fixed behind the tibia (Bosworth fracture-dislocation) is rare.
We report a case of Bosworth fracture-dislocation.
The patient was a 26-year-old man. He injured his left ankle while falling down the stairs. He underwent open reduction and internal fixation three days after injury. One year after operation, he had no disabilities in daily activities, but range of motion of his ankle was limited to 10 degrees in dorsiflexion and plantal-flxation respectively.
CT is useful for diagnosing Bosworth fracture-dislocation, but it is the most important to recognize the entity of this fracture-dislocation.
